WHY SHOULD I ENTER THIS TOURNAMENT ?
New England and Northeast area Bass anglers are often forced to travel long distances, primarily to southern and mid western locations, and often at considerable expense, to participate in high payout bass Tournaments. It is our goal to provide the same high quality bass tournament right here in the New England and Northeast regions.
The CPR (catch-photo-release) event format provides anglers of all skill levels the opportunity to fish local waters throughout the region to qualify for participation in a high payout championship event.
We hope to develop and grow relationships with local anglers to increase tournament participation, as well as develop relationships with national and local sponsors, in order to maximize the overall payouts and prize structures for all participating anglers.
DO I HAVE TO BECOME A MEMBER TO PARTICIPATE ?
No membership or membership fee is required to participate in this event..

I DONT HAVE A BOAT CAN I REGISTER ?
The challenge or qualifying period does not require you to fish from a watercraft. Anglers can fish from shore, a pier, a kayak, jon boat, big bass boat, pontoon boat, or a stand up paddle board. There is no restriction on watercraft other than your local and state regulations. During the championship event, however, there are restrictions on permissable watercraft. Kayaks, canoes, pontoon and jon boats only 14' or less are permissable using paddle, peddle, or electric trolling motors. Read the tournament rules for a specific and more detailed explanation of permissable watercraft.
IS IT AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE FISHING FROM A KAYAK VS. A JON BOAT ?
No. Having fished from a variety of watercraft, there is no overall clear advantage or disadvantage, of using one or the other. In specific situations on the water one may be best suited for specific conditions over the other, but both crafts are allowed the same use of electronics and electric trolling motor.
DO I HAVE TO FISH WITH LURES OR CAN I USE LIVE BAIT ?
We encourage the use of artificial lures only for sportsmanship and conservation purposes, but from a realistic standpoint, during a challenge we have no way to monitor and enforce this rule. The championship event will be an artificial lure only event.
